Life is crazy. Work is crazier.
Someone decided it would be a good idea to have the entire support staff go to meetings at the same time, leaving no one to run the mod desk, so I got volunteered to do it.
The mod desk can be really chaotic with questions coming at you from literally 18 different directions at once, answering the BAT phone, and taking supervisor calls. They couldn't have picked a calm time of day to have this meeting either. This was the time of day when we have 45 minute wait times to speak to a human, and people asking things like "how do I flash the bios without scewing up the RAID 1 configuation?"
On top of all that, there was a new-hire orientation today, but no training class to put the trainees into, so I also got to babysit the n00b. I think they may be trying to kill me.
